Sugar Works
The Sugar Works-sculptures are between 10 and 25 cm (4 and 10 inches) tall.
They are made of different materials in such a way that their appearances
can be deceptive, so as the trompe l’oeil-effect.
Sweets like chocolate, cakes and candies, have turned out to be a rich source
of inspiration for me. The end result of my sculpture had to be sensually titillating
and stimulating.
A 'Fruity' Taste
The sculptures 1 up to 7 (maximum height 30 cm), which are made of
different materials, flow from the exhibition A ‘Fruity’ Taste.
A ‘Fruity’ Taste shows the changes and new form of fruit through time and use by cutting, pricking, peeling, biting and coreing.
